One of the best ways you can look after your skin is by protecting it from the sun. If you expose your skin to the sun throughout your life then you will end up with wrinkles, skin issues plus age spots, you’ll also be more susceptible to skin cancer. To protect yourself best then follow these steps; use sunscreen, stay in the shade and wear clothing to protect your skin.

Quit Smoking

Studies have shown that smoking will make your skin look older than it is and also increase wrinkles. To put it simply, if you smoke then the best and only way to protect your skin more is to quit right away. Get hold of your doctor and ask about the best ways for you to give up. When you smoke your the blood vessels in your skin will narrow, that will lower your blood flow and your skin will be paler.

Eat Healthy

A healthy diet will do two things – make you look great and feel as good as you can. So make sure that you are eating lots of fruit, veg and lean proteins. There hasn’t been a definite correlation between your diet and acne, but there has been research that shows a diet with a lot of fish oil/supplements and low in refined carbs will make your skin look younger. Your skin will be more hydrated if you drink plenty of water too.
